About this release
Tony Bontana's My Name turns the Birmingham rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist's attention towards identity, asking what a name means to the people who carry and use it. A successor to his 2024 album L'Humanite, the record moves through fifteen concise tracks, with Izzi Richards appearing on the opener and Leo Sierra contributing to “Recoup” and “Hype Williams & Holy Water”. Bontana handles recording, mixing, mastering and arrangement, with production contributions from CC, Sigmund, oghost, dj noonsomewhere and Proxee. Released on Everything Is Perfect Records, this black vinyl LP includes a full lyric insert.
