About this release
Toolate Groove works within a melodic deep-house framework on Líbrame, balancing warm keyboards with a steady rhythmic swing. The title track pairs an expansive main version with the Love Yourself Dub featuring Shannon Harris. On the second side, 97 Ride’s Club Mix brings Rhodes playing and swinging claps into focus, while its Destiny Dream Dub gives more prominence to the vocal and bassline. Fresh From Abidjan closes with dusty breakbeats under a more surging groove. The EP keeps musical detail central throughout, using changes in keyboard phrasing, percussion and vocal texture to distinguish its originals and alternate versions.
