About this release
Crooked Man reshapes two tracks from Transmission Towers' debut album Transmission One on this twelve-inch for É Soul Cultura and Mr Bongo. Everything becomes Everything (Gone Crooked), moving from post-punk guitar towards new beat with insistent percussion, a heavy kick and buzzing synthesisers. On the reverse, My Shadow (Crooked Shade) places Eleanor Mante's voice among broken beats, pads and echo. Richard Barratt, the producer behind Crooked Man, brings his experience from Sweet Exorcist and his later remix work to the pairing. The two extended reworks are given a full side each.
