About this release
Trio Ternura’s A Gira combines a mid-tempo rhythm with percussive funk and soulful vocals. Originally released in 1973, the single came from a family group of three siblings, with the song written by their father and uncle. Its rhythmic focus connects the trio’s vocal harmonies to the dancefloor while keeping the arrangement light and fluid. Last Tango In Paris appears on the reverse, offering their interpretation of Gato Barbieri’s film theme. This Vampisoul reissue brings the two performances together on a seven-inch single, cut at 45 rpm and remastered from the original tapes.
