About this release
Tyler, the Creator handles the production throughout Flower Boy, bringing jazz, soul and pop into an album shaped by loneliness, identity and connection. Released by Columbia in 2017, it pairs his rapping with a broad cast of vocal guests, including Frank Ocean, Kali Uchis, Rex Orange County, A$AP Rocky and Lil Wayne. Foreword opens the record before the warm melodies of Where This Flower Blooms and See You Again; Who Dat Boy and I Ain’t Got Time! bring a more forceful edge. The linked 911 / Mr. Lonely sits at the heart of its mix of melodic songwriting and inward-looking rap.
