About this release
TARTAN005 pairs two Bollywood-inspired reworks credited to Unknown Artist. Ayo! places uplifting piano lines alongside drum-machine rhythms, Minimoog and acid synthesizer details. Shoes Off takes a more gradual approach on the reverse, bringing pads, tabla and a whistle into an arrangement that builds over time. The fifth release in the Tartan series keeps those contrasting treatments together on a twelve-inch, with one track on each side and the artist credit retained as published by the label.
