About this release
Levi Bruce builds Field Work from recordings collected during the winter and spring of 2025, treating each location as the starting point for a musical journal entry. Sounds gathered while touring sit alongside material recorded near his home in Whitehorse, on the traditional lands of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and Kwanlin Dün First Nation. Through additional production and manipulation, the recordings become reflections on the people, activity and environment surrounding each place. The album connects a vineyard, beaches, rivers, a nature preserve, a rooftop and a hotdog stand through an ambient approach that keeps location and memory at its centre.
