About this release
Vana pairs Ajukaja's production with Edith Karlson's vocals on a debut 7-inch for Estonia's Sad Fun label. Viimne Ratsu revisits a song by an Estonian coastal-town band from the 1980s, giving its reggae-influenced rhythm a different electronic setting. Kuu Maa takes the reverse towards pop, combining Karlson's voice with piano, guitar and a funk-leaning bassline. Mixed and mastered by Jörgen Hermaste, the two-track record brings different arrangements together within the duo's shared approach to familiar pop forms. The SADFUN006 edition presents the complete pairing on 7-inch vinyl.
