About this release
America Dream Reserve gathers private-press songs, home-made pop and country-lounge recordings selected by Charles Bals and Henry Jones. The collection moves through drum-machine folk, ballads, disco-tinged arrangements and synthesised strings, bringing together performers whose music often circulated far from mainstream release networks. Husband-and-wife duos, one-person projects and local entertainers share the programme, giving the compilation a personal, unpolished character. This 2023 Smiling C edition spreads sixteen tracks across two records and comes in a die-cut, leather-textured gatefold with eight interchangeable double-sided artist photo cards and an insert introducing the project.
Format: 2LP, die-cut textured gatefold, eight photo cards and insert
