Various Artists - Disco Reggae Vol. 7

Stix Records brings another selection of familiar songs into the reggae dance with Disco Reggae Vol. 7. Slowly, Mato, Taggy Matcher, Soul Sugar and Mystic Jungle take on soul, funk and pop favourites, with guest vocals from Franze, John Milk, Lady Gatica, Roxana and Olivya.

Hall & Oates, Crystal Waters, Cameo and Joe Smooth provide some of the starting points for these nine reinterpretations. The emphasis is on bass, rhythm and melody, connecting the original songs to the soundsystem tradition that has run through the series for two decades.
