About this release
Hot Creations Sampler I brings four label releases together on one 12-inch, moving from direct house rhythms to dubby reworks and Latin percussion. Kolter opens with the driving Red Alert, followed by Jamie Jones' remix of HoneyLuv and Mason Maynard's XTC, which builds its atmosphere through layered effects and a hypnotic groove. Lauren Lane's Ryde Or Die Anthem combines guitar figures, rolling bass and rap vocals in a reworking of DMX's Ruff Ryders' Anthem. Carloh closes with Quisiera Tenerte, adding resonant low end, percussion and a vocal hook to complete the four-track selection.
