About this release
King Street Sounds’ seventh sampler brings together four recordings from its house catalogue. Mood II Swing opens with Nafara, followed by Jovonn’s King St. Club treatment of Vellcha’s Getaway. On the reverse, X Fade and Lavette appear with Good & Plenty Love in Roy’s Believer’s Dub, connecting the selection with Roy Davis Jr.’s production. Osunlade closes with the Main Mix of The Fifth Dimension. The record links the label’s deep and soulful house strands through vocal cuts, dub arrangements and individual production styles, gathering the different artists and mixes on one twelve-inch.
