RE:VERSAL 005 brings together four archive cuts from UMR, moving between minimal techno, bass-heavy house and experimental electronics. Ricardo Villalobos opens with a fourteen-minute remix of Beck’s Cellphones Dead, stretching the vocal around intricate percussion and shifting sound design.
On the AA-side, Four Tet and Floating Points join Katy B for Calm Down. Jeff Mills and Tony Allen follow with Locked And Loaded, an organ-led collaboration built on layered percussion. Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer close with Recat, reshaping acoustic recordings into a delicate electronic arrangement. This limited-run compilation is pressed on heavyweight vinyl.
