About this release
Dave Lee revisits eight disco and soul recordings on Remixed With Love by Dave Lee (Selected Works), working from the original multitrack tapes to reshape the songs for the dancefloor. The selection brings together The O’Jays, Patti LaBelle, Earth, Wind & Fire and Cheryl Lynn alongside Gladys Knight & The Pips, Pockets, Phyllis Hyman and Jean Carn. Lee’s approach keeps the singers and musicians at the centre, extending the arrangements rather than replacing the performances that define them. Drawn from his Remixed With Love catalogue, these mixes connect vocal soul with the sustained movement of disco, giving each recording room to unfold.
