About this release
Downbeat returns after three years with Slow & Steady, its fifteenth release and first various-artists compilation. Damon Lamar and Specter share the A-side, bringing low-slung machine rhythms, repeating percussion and synth lines to Dim Sum and Doomsday.
Label co-founder Jose Rico opens the B-side with The Invaders, drawing on Chicago deep house. Leonid’s label debut Riposo closes with softer percussion, smooth synths and a Detroit-influenced atmosphere. The four-track selection is pressed on 180g 12" Vinyl.
