About this release
Yerevan Nights gathers sixteen Soviet Armenian recordings made between 1986 and 1992. Discotchari draws on the Public Radio of Armenia archives to trace a local meeting of city pop, jazz-funk, synth pop and soul.
Licensed from the original reel-to-reel masters and remastered at Osiris Studio, the compilation features singers including Tatevik Hovhannisyan and Elvina Makaryan. The double LP comes in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes, an OBI strip and download card.
