About this release
Buena Onda: Balearic Beats 2021 presents four selections compiled by Marco Gallerani and Gallo for Hell Yeah Recordings. Jaspar Robinson and Kayroy open with Satellite, pairing a vocal about distance and longing with sombre chords and a slower bass groove. Feel Fly's Esperanto follows with shimmering chords and guitar. The reverse features Max Essa's remix of The Vendetta Suite's Neon Secrets, before Chris Coco and Micko Roche close with What Is Love, combining Spanish guitar, flute and rolling percussion. The sampler brings vocal songwriting, electronic textures and live-instrument detail together across two tracks per side on one twelve-inch.
