About this release
Classic Club Culture EP brings five South African recordings by producer Quentin Sinclair Foster to vinyl. Originally released on CD in 1994 and 1995, the selection connects house rhythms with downtempo and R&B through several of Foster’s projects. Tsidi’s Contagious appears in its Transcendal Dub Remix alongside Constance’s Special Kind Of Love on the A-side. Vision’s I Want Your Love opens the flip, followed by another Constance track, Why, and Modau’s Watch Me Dance. Soundbath Records’ twelve-inch presents the five cuts together, giving the period’s vocal and instrumental approaches a shared space within one carefully selected programme.
