About this release
Compassion Crew follows Compassion Cuts, Tapes & Acetates with a second compilation that moves across gospel, house, zouk, disco, folk and electro. The twelve-track selection opens with Friends and David Lee Jones’ ‘I Love You’ and closes with Mark Broom’s ‘Tropica’, taking in Siobhan Mac Carthy’s extended ‘Face The Truth’ and Beauty Product’s ‘Wild Parvenu’ along the way. Dreams West’s ‘EMC Corporation’ adds a different electronic perspective, while Farewood and the Holy Temple Young People’s Choir carry the set towards folk and gospel. The fully licensed double LP brings these contrasting recordings together under Compassion Cuts Records.
