About this release
Paul Hillery’s third Folk Funk & Trippy Troubadours collection brings together 22 tracks, moving through folk, soft rock, jazzy AOR, lo-fi dub and homemade electronic textures. Sheila Chandra’s “One” opens the selection, followed by Tim Green’s “Got More Love” and Stephen Whynott’s “What Have You Seen”. Elsewhere, Soapstone contributes Alaskan soft rock, Dave Smith and Judy Dinning bring bass-led folk, and Rhythm & Bliss offer “Love Is The Sun”. The sequence combines private-press recordings with previously unreleased material, following the varied paths taken by independent songwriters and musicians. BBE’s triple LP includes extensive sleeve notes.
