About this release
Sierra Tracks expands Milo Fitzpatrick’s Vega Trails project from the bass-and-saxophone setting of Tremors In The Static into a broader chamber jazz sound. Jordan Smart remains a central voice, joined by piano, vibraphone, cello and orchestral strings. Conceived in the foothills of Spain’s Sierra de Guadarrama, the album connects folk-like melodies with arrangements that evoke space and movement. “Largo” opens the ten-track sequence, while “Els”, “Reverie” and “Sleepwalk Tokyo” reveal different aspects of its reflective character. This Gondwana Records double LP presents the complete album on black BioVinyl in a printed reverse-board sleeve.
