Venus II Oh Boy - Justin Strauss Remix

Venus II’s Oh Boy returns through New Islands, the reissue arm of Pleasure Of Love, with the original versions joined by two Justin Strauss remixes. Produced by Information Society’s Paul Robb in 1987, the recording comes from the Minneapolis duo’s self-written and programmed material. The original 12-inch mix and instrumental occupy the A-side, with Strauss’s vocal and instrumental reworkings on the reverse. Sourced from the original multitrack tapes, the release reconnects the song’s eighties synthesiser-pop roots with its later Balearic following. This four-track 12-inch presents the original recording and the remix treatments together under catalogue number NIR002V.
