About this release
Vincenzo de Bull follows 4 Kicks with another Whiskey Disco EP that moves between disco loops and deeper house grooves. The Jaunt opens with a persistent bassline, filtered phrases, piano accents and shifting vocals. Make It Smooth reshapes familiar elements into a new arrangement, before Move Your Body brings an R&B-influenced feel to the reverse. Tatsuro Lovers closes at a slower pace, combining crisp drums with a deep low end and swirling textures. The different tempos give the record room to move from more energetic material towards a gentler finish, while keeping its focus on rhythm and repetition.
