About this release
Vin Sol and Matrixxman join forces as Vinny & Charlie for The Repo Code, a 30-track album on L.I.E.S. Records. Rather than a set of separated singles, the music runs continuously across two sides of around 20 minutes each. Chopped samples, SP-12 beats and lowrider soul form the material, with loops shifted in speed and woven into the flow. The sequence moves from Housebroken and Baby Babee through to Left Hanging and the title track. The white-label LP has a picture sleeve featuring artwork by Los Angeles artist SOB STORY.
Format: Vinyl LP; white labels and picture sleeve
Label: L.I.E.S. Records
