About this release
Whodamanny’s Onda Biloba brings the sound of his Biloba project to an eight-track album on Periodica Records. Recorded at Raffaele Arcella’s Biloba studio, it moves between Italo disco, Latin rhythms, house and relaxed Balearic grooves.
Synths, vocals, saxophone and flute give the record its colourful character, with ‘Suavemente’, ‘Loca Loca’ and ‘Mi Amor’ leading into the samba and funk influences of the second side. ‘Sambar’ and ‘En Tu Brazos’ round out an album that balances club energy with slower, dub-influenced passages.
