About this release
William Onyeabor's Atomic Bomb brings extended rhythms, electronic textures and funk songwriting together across five unhurried tracks. Originally released in 1978, the album opens with “Beautiful Baby” and “Better Change Your Mind”, leaving each piece room to settle into its groove. The title track begins the second side before “Shame” and “I Need You All Life” close the sequence. Luaka Bop's Neutron Orange vinyl edition presents the original album programme, keeping its long-form arrangements and distinctive blend of voice, keyboards and rhythm intact.
