About this release
Slightly warped - doesn't affect audio! Pink vinyl!
Joe Claussell revisits Willie Colón and Rubén Blades' “Siembra” with three versions drawn from his Hammock House remix project. The Sacred Rhythm Version keeps the song's Latin character close, building around organic percussion and a horn-led arrangement. Dance Dub 1 shifts the weight towards the low end, leaving room for the rhythmic and jazzy details to develop, while the Alt Instrumental offers a further perspective on the same material. Claussell handles remixing, additional production and edits for Sacred Rhythm Music and Cosmic Arts. Recorded and mixed at East Side Sounds in New York, with Fran Cathcart engineering, this Fania 12-inch is the pink vinyl repress.
