About this release
Wrekin Havoc bring three extended reworks to Drum Chums, moving between funk, piano house and electronic disco. Shine A Light sets guitars and assertive bass against a soulful vocal, stretching the arrangement into a sustained, stop-start groove. Mars Bar Party shifts towards a rolling house rhythm, with melancholy pads, piano and a smooth vocal running through its long-form progression. Leccy Meet Her closes the record with pulsing low end, bright synthesizer figures and an expansive vocal line. The trio connect the tracks through patient arrangements and a Balearic sensibility, allowing each song’s instrumental details to shape the dancefloor momentum.
