About this release
LXXXVIII is Darren Cunningham's ninth album as Actress, released through Ninja Tune. Game theory and chess informed its creation, with the coordinate-like track titles mapping an electronic sequence that begins with Push Power (a1). Techno, ambient and experimental approaches run through thirteen pieces, including Hit That Spdiff, Memory Haze and Green Blue Amnesia Magic Haze. This ZEN295 edition is the standard double LP on deep blue vinyl with printed inner sleeves. It contains the complete LXXXVIII album, ending with Pluto (a2); the additional 88 album belongs to the separate deluxe three-LP edition.
