About this release
Ago's debut album For You was originally released in 1982, bringing the singer's bright melodies together with Michele Violante's production. Synth bass and clipped guitar give the songs their rhythmic drive, while the vocal arrangements keep the choruses prominent. Violante arranged and conducted the sessions at C & M Studios in Italy, with vocal arrangements shared with L. Kynsha and Tommy Cavalieri engineering. Across the album, the balance of boogie, funk and electronic disco puts Ago's voice against tightly organised instrumental parts. This Full Time Production reissue presents the remastered recordings, including the title song, 'Trying Over' and 'Stop Your Life'.
