About this release
Andras Fox and Oscar S. Thorn return to Embassy Café in a remastered edition for Dopeness Galore. Recorded live with minimal overdubs in a West Melbourne warehouse art space in 2013, the cassette demos capture the beginning of their collaboration. Hiss, distortion and incidental sounds sit alongside romantic vocals and early-1990s-inspired house arrangements, keeping the recordings’ DIY character intact. Remastered from the original tapes by Wouter Brandenburg, the seven-track set moves from Romance and Running Late through What They Say and After The Rain, connecting loose production textures with a melodic, song-led approach to house.
