About this release
KINO brings Anish Kumar and Hagop Tchaparian together for a two-part collaboration on their own imprint, mixed by Pearson Sound. The first part develops from minimal percussion and atmospheric field recordings, gradually building intensity. The second introduces deeper bass and more insistent rhythms, connecting organic sounds with electronic textures. Tested by the duo in warehouse and festival settings, the two pieces share an interest in rhythm, space and the meeting of their different production approaches. The vinyl edition presents one part on each side of a white-label 12-inch.
