About this release
Aubrey Hoermann’s The Dance Flo-Funk EP returns through Mono Horizon, revisiting a release first issued in 2001. Hoermann’s Odic Force label provided a home for his own minimal techno between 1998 and 2002, and this selection keeps the emphasis on stripped-back percussion and rhythmic movement. Dff and Woodblockpop share the A-side, with Df and Corecharge on the reverse. The arrangements draw on the reduced, percussive language associated with late-nineties Detroit techno. Remastered from the original tapes, the reissue presents the four tracks together on a twelve-inch.
