About this release
The third B-Edits release pairs 'Downlow' and 'Midnight', continuing the anonymous producer's approach to reshaping familiar sounds and less obvious discoveries. Samples are drawn together into two club-focused cuts that sit between house, disco edits and Balearic selections, with the source material serving as the starting point for something new.
‘Downlow’ builds its house groove around a rounded bassline and organ, with vocal samples woven into the rhythm. ‘Midnight’ takes a slower route, using heavily processed fragments to create a more subdued atmosphere. The two contrasting reworks occupy one side each of the twelve-inch.
