About this release
Inferno develops the darker ambience of Boards Of Canada's Tomorrow's Harvest, retaining the duo's melodic language while giving speech fragments a more prominent place in the music. Its influences also connect with the esoteric selections heard in Societas X Tape, their NTS mix for Warp's thirtieth anniversary. Across eighteen pieces, analogue textures, recurring melodic ideas and spoken soundbites shape a sustained, uneasy atmosphere. The album extends over roughly seventy minutes, allowing shorter passages and longer tracks to form a continuous programme. This standard edition is pressed on black double vinyl, with printed inner sleeves housed in a gatefold outer.
Format: 2LP, black vinyl, gatefold sleeve with printed inners
