About this release
Free, Dancing… brings percussionist and producer Carlos Niño together with Idris Ackamoor of The Pyramids and guitarist Nate Mercereau. The trio began playing concerts together in California in 2022, developing an open approach that connects reed instruments, percussion and guitar textures. New Dawn’s LP selects seven pieces from the longer album, moving from We Love You So Much and Heaven Cruise Heaven Humming 2 to Group Effervescence With Jesse Peterson, Friends Now and Time On Earth. The emphasis is on interaction and atmosphere, with each player contributing to the changing space around the others. The vinyl includes a download of the full digital album.
