About this release
Basement Versionz introduces the Many Hands label with four DJ versions from Dan Aikido, Ernie Ruso, DJ Nomad and Jona J. The selection reflects the Berlin party and podcast’s wide-ranging approach, moving through soul, downtempo and Balearic music. Dan Aikido’s “0800Tx4Herb” combines synth and piano textures, while Ernie Ruso’s “Stroke It” takes a vocal R&B direction. On the reverse, DJ Nomad’s “African Boy” brings an African house feel, followed by the dubby, breakbeat-inflected “A Change Will Come” from Jona J. This MH001 12-inch gathers the four versions, connecting different tempos and styles through a shared emphasis on groove.
