About this release
Donald Byrd’s “Think Twice” and “Where Are We Going?” come together on this Major Keys 12-inch reissue. “Think Twice” was taken from the trumpeter’s 1975 Blue Note album Stepping Into Tomorrow, during his work with the Mizell brothers. The pairing reflects Byrd’s exploration of funk and soul alongside jazz, an approach that brought his recordings to listeners beyond the jazz audience. “Think Twice” occupies side A, with “Where Are We Going?” on the reverse. This officially licensed edition presents the two recordings under catalogue number MK65006.
