About this release
DSO pairs two anonymous house reworks of Sade and Erykah Badu on Vol 1. Love You More draws on Sade’s I Couldn’t Love You More, retaining the vocal warmth and chord movement within a low-slung house setting. Apl Tree turns to Badu’s Appletree for the reverse, recasting its neo-soul foundations around a sampled dancefloor groove. The two edits share an emphasis on soulful vocals and bass, with each taking one side of this 7-inch release.
