About this release
Dimension Intrusion is Richie Hawtin's first full-length studio album under the F.U.S.E. name. Originally released in 1993 on Plus 8 and then through Warp's Artificial Intelligence series, it connects Detroit-influenced techno with ambient space and a science-fiction sensibility. A New Day opens the thirteen-track sequence, with Substance Abuse, Train-Trac.1 and the extended Theychx among its central pieces. Shorter tracks and quieter passages give the club rhythms room to change shape across the album. This Warp double-vinyl reissue comes in a wide-spine sleeve with polylined inners and a twelve-inch poster insert.
