About this release
Girls of the Internet and James Alexander Bright connect through two house tracks on this Athens Of The North 12-inch. ‘Someone Somewhere’ draws on a sample from the label’s catalogue, building the first side around a direct club approach. ‘Where Is Your Love’ reworks Bright’s ‘Your Love’, from his Cool Cool album, into a gospel-tinged house arrangement. Created as a tour release, the pairing brings Girls of the Internet’s production into contact with Bright’s vocal-led songwriting. The two tracks appear one per side, joining a sample-based cut with a reimagined song from an established Athens Of The North artist.
