About this release
Idris Muhammad’s Power Of Soul places the drummer’s groove at the centre of a session arranged with Bob James and featuring Grover Washington Jr., Randy Brecker, Joe Beck and Ralph MacDonald. Produced by Creed Taylor and engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, the 1974 album moves between jazz-funk, soul-jazz and more expansive ensemble playing. The title track and Piece Of Mind share the first side, with The Saddest Thing and Loran’s Dance on the reverse. This Music On Vinyl edition presents the four-track album on individually numbered, 180g white vinyl.
Format: 180g white vinyl LP
