About this release
Kshatrya (The Eye Of The Bird) presents a later chapter in Igor Wakhévitch's electronic work. Recorded in 1999 on his Mysterious Island 88 system, the music was drawn from the composer's archive after decades spent in India. Its synthesizer compositions connect spacious, meditative passages with more intense sound, following the experimental direction of his 1970s albums such as Logos, Docteur Faust and Hathor. Wakhévitch composed and performed all the pieces, with Benoit Corboz handling mastering for the Transversales Disques release. This vinyl LP presents the complete sequence across two sides, with an obi strip.
