About this release
Ike Noble & The Uptights pair the mid-tempo soul of ‘It’s Bad’ with ‘Best Of Luck To You’ on this Athens of the North seven-inch. The A-side keeps a steady, insistent groove beneath Noble’s vocal, while the reverse moves into deep soul with his interpretation of a song also recorded by Sam Baker and Earl Gaines. The contrast between the rhythmic first side and the slower vocal focus of the flip gives the single two distinct moods. The pressing features silver-ink overprinted labels in the style of the original releases.
