About this release
Jan Jelinek’s Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records builds intricate electronic patterns from tiny sampled fragments, transforming the source recordings into textures that shift between rhythm, melody and atmosphere. Recorded in Berlin in 2000 and first released on ~scape in 2001, the album places those details within a dub techno framework. Small sounds emerge from the background as repeating loops overlap, creating the audio equivalent of a moiré pattern. This Faitiche edition adds two pieces from the B-side of the Tendency EP, extending the album’s exploration of grain, repetition and space. Jelinek wrote and produced the recordings, with mastering by Stefan Betke and Rashad Becker.
