Jules-Henry Malaki - Makiyaj / Tes idées

Makiyaj pairs two early-1990s zouk recordings by Guadeloupean singer and songwriter Jules-Henry Malaki. The A-side comes from his 1993 album Compte À Rebours, while Tes Idées was released on the album of the same name in 1994 and appears here in an edited version. Malaki wrote and composed both songs, following his work with the bands Message and Batako and a run of self-produced solo releases. Secousse presents the pairing on a 45rpm 12-inch, remastered by Benjamin Joubert at Biduloscope in Paris. The record connects two moments from Malaki's catalogue through the rhythms and melodic vocals of zouk.
