About this release
Kerri Chandler’s Return 2 Acid marks Large Music’s hundredth release, originally issued in 2005. The title track combines driving drums, keys and an insistent acid line, drawing on the sound of early acid house. On the reverse, “Planet Sonic” moves towards electro, with an approach influenced by Afrika Bambaataa’s recordings. This 12-inch reissue also includes an a cappella of “Return 2 Acid”, placed alongside the full track on side A. The three-cut edition brings together Chandler’s two contrasting productions and the separate vocal part.
