About this release
Kikagaku Moyo’s third album, ‘House In The Tall Grass’, brings vocal harmonies, guitar and sitar into a sound shaped by psychedelic rock, folk and krautrock. Recorded at Tsubame Studio in late 2015, it balances more structured songwriting with the improvisational approach that runs through the band’s music. ‘Green Sugar’ and ‘Kogarashi’ open the record, while the extended ‘Silver Owl’ and ‘Trad’ explore shifts between quieter passages and heavier playing. Yui Kimijima produced, mixed and mastered the album, with artwork by sineater, for Guruguru Brain.
