About this release
Konformer II develops the Nuremberg trio's combination of instrumental krautrock, psychedelia and electronic sound. Rainer Ruder on bass, Andreas Berg on drums and Kristian Krauss on keyboards build the music around repeating bass figures and changing textures. Recorded at Frank Mollena's Lonestar Studios, the album follows their debut with a deeper exploration of that group language. The opening Konfektio Suite brings four movements together before Marseille, Berufsverkehr, Mont Ventoux and Todmorden continue the programme. Released by Before I Die, this black vinyl edition includes a full-colour booklet featuring work by independent artists from the city.
