About this release
Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak brings electronic production, disco songwriting and funk-rooted rhythms together on Juicy Fruit. Their fifth album for Jalapeno includes vocal appearances from Eric Biddines, Meeka Kates, Mayer Hawthorne, Berenice van Leer, Alxndr London, Ivar, Sanguita and Cleopold, alongside the Parcels collaboration Stumble. The guest performances give the songs different characters while a consistent rhythmic approach connects the thirteen-track sequence. From the opening Prescription to Private Moon, boogie basslines and melodic arrangements sit within the trio's dancefloor-focused production. The complete album is presented across four sides of a double LP.
